Aizawl, March 30 -- In a novel blend of faith, creativity and public awareness, Lunglei district will mark this year's Easter with a campaign-driven initiative aimed at steering children and youth away from substance abuse, Chief Secretary Khilli Ram Meena said on Monday.
In a statement, Meena announced that an Easter Egg Painting Competition centred on the "Ruihhlo Do" (Anti-Drug Campaign) theme will be organised on April 5, coinciding with Easter Sunday, for churches within the Lunglei Municipal Council (LMC) area.
Describing the programme as a creative outreach effort, the Chief Secretary said the initiative is being spearheaded by the District Level Committee on NCORD, Lunglei, in collaboration with the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.
