Patna, Nov. 14 -- Early trends in the Bihar Assembly elections on Friday indicated a strong lead for the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA), with the Mahagathbandhan (MGB) trailing.
At 10 am, the Janata Dal (United) JD(U) was ahead on 63 seats, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is leading on 61 seats. The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) trailed with 34 seats, and the Indian National Congress (INC) was ahead on 10.
Other parties leading included the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) (LJPRV) on 17 seats, Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) HAM(S) on four, CPI ML (L) on three, and the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VSIP), AIMIM, CPI(M), and The Plurals Party (TPLRSP) on one seat each.
