Chennai, May 4 -- The nascent Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) of actor-politician Vijay nosed ahead in a majority of the constituencies, establising early leads ahead of the main Opposition AIADMK and pushing the formidable ruling DMK-led Front to the third spot as the counting of votes polled in the April 23 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, which began at 0800 hrs, progressed on Monday.
As per the early trends, TVK has established early leads in 100 seats, followed by AIADMK 81 and DMK in 53, reducing the four-cornered contest into a three-way battle, with the fourth player Naam Tamizhar Katchi (NTK) of actor-director Seeman lying at the fourth spot.
