New Delhi, Nov. 3 -- External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar today spoke with Afghan Taliban Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi to convey condolences at the loss of lives in the 6.3 earthquake that struck northern Afghanistan and said India is sending relief material for those affected.
The EAM said the two FMs also discussed their bilateral ties, since the India visit of the Afghan Taliban foreign minister last month. He also welcomed the improved people-to-people contacts between New Delhi and Kabul.
In a post on X, the EAM said that India is also sending medicines, which will be reaching soon. The two sides also discussed the regional situation, in reference to the tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan.
