Toronto, Aug. 7 -- Alexandra Eala and Venus Williams were knocked out in the first round of the women's doubles at the 2026 Canadian Open here.
Tennis's star wildcard pair were bounced by Kato Miyu and Liudmila Samsonova 6-4, 6-3 in 76 minutes on Thursday.
Eala and Williams had five doubles faults and conceded six of 11 break points.
Eala and Williams were teaming up for the first time since reaching the Bad Homburg quarter-finals in June, according to olympics.com.
