New Delhi, July 12 -- Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday alleged that E20-blended petrol is damaging vehicle engines, reducing fuel efficiency and increasing maintenance costs, urging the Central government to provide consumers the option of choosing between E20 fuel and pure petrol.
In a press statement issued by the party, Kejriwal said he visited a vehicle service centre and a petrol pump in Delhi, where he interacted with mechanics and vehicle owners who claimed that vehicles were experiencing frequent breakdowns, injector and fuel pump failures, engine knocking, and lower mileage after the introduction of E20 petrol.
