Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 19 -- The Kerala Government will provide a subsidy of Rs 30,000 to owners of electric passenger autorickshaws under its e-mobility promotion scheme, with online applications to be accepted from September 25.
The subsidy will be sanctioned to the first 1,000 eligible applicants. Of the total, 100 subsidies have been reserved for women. If there are not enough eligible women applicants, the unutilised quota will be opened to applicants in the general category.
Owners of electric passenger autorickshaws registered from April 1, 2019 onwards and who have not received the subsidy so far can apply. Those who had applied earlier but did not receive the subsidy are also eligible to submit fresh applications.
