Chennai, Sept. 5 -- Officials of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) on Saturday conducted raids at 30 premises of senior DMK leader and former Minister K N Nehru for alleged sam in allotting tenders in the Municipal Administration and Water Supply (MAWS) department during the previous 2021-26 DMK regime.
Based on the evidences collected during earlier ED raids the DVAC had registered cases against the ex-Minister. The DVAC followed it up by registering fresh cases against Nehru under Secti0ns 120-B, 406, 409, 420 of IPC and 61(2), 316 (2), 316 (5) and 318 (4) of BNS and under Secti0ns 7, 7A, 8, 9, 12, 13(2) read with 13 (1) (a) of Prevention of Corruption Act.
