Shillong, Aug. 16 -- Defending champions NorthEast United FC will face hosts Shillong Lajong FC tomorrow in a highly anticipated Durand Cup quarter-final at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium here in Meghalaya.
The two NorthEast rivals have met frequently in recent editions, with NorthEast United winning every encounter.
Now, with a place in the semi-finals at stake, Shillong Lajong aims to break the curse on home soil against the formidable, two-time defending champions in 2024 and 2025.
