Lucknow, Feb. 27 -- Rashid Naseem, promoter of Shine City Group absconding for the past seven years, has been arrested by Dubai Police in connection with an alleged multi-crore investment fraud case involving Rs 800 to Rs 1,000 crore. Officials said here on Friday that a team from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) will soon bring him to Lucknow for further investigation.
Nearly 10 months ago, a special court in Lucknow had declared Naseem a proclaimed offender. He had fled India in 2019. More than 554 FIRs have been registered against him and his companies over alleged fraud carried out in the name of real estate investments.
