New Delhi, July 14 -- : Rain evades Delhi for yet another day, with the weather department forecasting a dry spell for the rest of the week on Tuesday.
No major weather events are predicted in the national capital until Sunday, according to the India Meteorological Department's (IMD) evening bulletin.
Safdarjung, a Delhi-based weather observatory, sizzled at 38.6 degree Celcius (deg C), recording temperatures 3.1 degrees above normal for this time of the year.
Elevated temperatures are likely to remain in the national capital for most of the week, reaching a peak of 37-39 deg C on Thursday, before plunging to 35-37 deg C from Sunday onwards, said the IMD officials.
