Chandigarh, May 16 -- A Chandigarh Police head constable, allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol, hit two Activa scooters in an accident late Friday night, leaving one person injured with a fractured arm, officials said.
The accused, identified as head constable Jaipal, was posted on attachment with the Municipal Corporation, officials said. According to eyewitnesses, he was driving a Hyundai Venue car when he first hit a scooter rider and fled the scene, only to strike another two-wheeler during his attempt to escape.
