Pune, March 10 -- In a major action at Pune International Airport, the Air Intelligence Unit seized drugs worth approximately Rs 8 crore from a passenger who had arrived from Bangkok on an IndiGo flight.
According to officials, the passenger allegedly concealed the narcotic substances while travelling from Bangkok to Pune. The action was taken after authorities noticed suspicious movements of four passengers at the airport, prompting them to conduct a detailed inspection.
During the search, officials recovered a total of 16 air-tight packets containing the suspected drugs. The seized contraband is estimated to be worth around Rs 8 crore in the international market.
