Hamirpur (HP), April 17 -- The Hamirpur Police have once again executed a major operation against drug traffickers.
Led by Inspector Kulwant Singh Rana, a police team laid a trap and arrested a young man found in possession of 8.49 grams of 'Chitta' (heroin).
The accused youth was transporting the consignment of drugs in a car. The police have also seized his vehicle.
According to information received from the police, they had received a confidential tip-off that a youth, a resident of Rohlvi, had set out towards the Tal area carrying a consignment of drugs in a car.
Acting swiftly upon receiving this information, the police team demonstrated great alertness and set up a roadblock-while in plain clothes-near Bumana (Tal).
