Shimla, Nov. 5 -- The issue of drug abuse in Himachal Pradesh is turning into a serious social disease, affecting not only youth but also families and communities across the state.
This was stated by Satyavan Pundir, convener of the Himachal Forum Against Drug Abuse (HFADA), in a statement issued today.
Pundir said that drug addiction should not be treated merely as a crime but as a chronic disease that requires treatment, compassion, and social rehabilitation.
"Addiction is not a sin or a moral failure, it is a health problem that needs care and understanding," he said.
