Dimapur, Jan. 22 -- The Dimapur police commissionerate has imposed restrictions on the operation of drones and remotely piloted aircraft (RPA) within the commissionerate jurisdiction on January 26 to strengthen security arrangements for the Republic Day celebration.
Dimapur commissioner of police Aotula T Imchen, in an order under Rule 24 of the Drone Rules, 2021, on Thursday said the areas within a radius of two kilometres around selected locations have been declared as "red zones" (no-fly zones).
The restriction will remain in force from 2 am to 6 pm on the day.
