Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 7 -- King Mahabali, with a glittering crown on his head, strode majestically across the evening skies over the city as a fleet of 1,000 drones wove spectacular aerial images of the Onam festival, turning out to be a showstopper for tourists and the public during the Onam celebrations.
The three-day drone light show, staged 250 feet above the University Stadium here from 8:45 pm to 9:15 pm, is part of the Onam Week Celebrations organised by the Department of Tourism. It concludes on September 7.
The specially designed 20-minute performance, featuring LED-equipped drones, is a moving tribute to Kerala's heritage, weaving together the state's traditions, legends, and modern aspirations.
