Patna, Sept. 14 -- Bihar Agriculture Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha today said that the use of agricultural drones would help promote modern, technology-driven farming in the state by enabling effective spraying over larger areas in less time and with reduced labour.

The minister said that under the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (PM-RKVY), the fourth Agriculture Road Map is being implemented during the financial year 2026-27 through the scheme "Spraying of Pesticides and Liquid Fertilizers on Crops through Agricultural Drones."A total of Rs 11.81 crore has been sanctioned for the scheme in Bihar.
