Hamirpur (HP), July 12 -- A massive campaign to clean old water sources has started in all parts of the Hamirpur district and so far 236 natural water sources have been cleaned. These include 58 wells, 55 'khatris' (hand-hewn caves), 112 step-wells, 3 water storage tanks, 5 ponds, and 3 hand pumps.

The credit for this goes to the Deputy Commissioner, Gandharva Rathore, who had issued an order in this respect to keep people free from waterborne diseases.
