Hyderabad, April 28 -- In a major anti-narcotics operation, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized 11.4 kg of Amphetamine (Crystal Meth) valued at Rs 11.4 crore at Secunderabad Railway Station and arrested two persons.

Acting on specific intelligence, DRI officials intercepted two women passengers travelling by train on April 27. During a detailed search, officers recovered 10 packets of white crystalline substance concealed inside trolley bags.

In a statement on Tuesday, the DRI Officials said the contraband was carefully hidden-wrapped in black polythene, covered with designer paper, and placed within bedsheets-to evade detection. Field testing confirmed the substance as Amphetamine, commonly known as Crystal Meth.
