Thiruvananthapuram, June 27 -- The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has appointed eminent scientist Dr. U.P. Rajeev as the new Director of the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), succeeding to one of the organisation's most significant leadership positions.
He is currently serving as Associate Director (Research & Development) at VSSC.
A veteran in the field of Rocket Control and Guidance, Dr. Rajeev has made significant contributions to India's space programme over a distinguished career spanning several decades.
He has led mission design and mission simulation activities for most of ISRO's major launch vehicle programmes, playing a key role in the successful planning and execution of several landmark missions.
