Hyderabad, Sept. 14 -- Dr Reddy's Laboratories Ltd on Monday announced a nationwide educational initiative to strengthen India's obesity care workforce by developing a network of Certified Obesity Educators.
Under the initiative, more than 5,000 nurses, diabetes educators, dietitians and allied healthcare support professionals will undergo specialised training in obesity prevention, risk assessment, patient counselling and long-term management, the Hyderabad based pharma giant said in a release here.
The programme has been developed in collaboration with endocrinologists and clinicians and is aimed at addressing gaps in obesity awareness, patient engagement and continuity of care.
