Srinagar, Sept. 9 -- Justice Pushpendra Singh Bhati on Wednesday took the oath as the 39th Chief Justice of the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court (J&K&L) at a ceremony held in Srinagar.
The oath of office was administered by Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena, who is currently also holding charge as the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir.
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Shalimar Auditorium of the Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST), officials said.
The proceedings were conducted by Shashanka Ala, Secretary to Lieutenant Governor, UT of Ladakh, while the Warrant of Appointment of the Chief Justice was read out by M. K. Sharma, Registrar General, High Court of J&K and Lad...
