Shillong, Feb. 27 -- Meghalaya Power Generation Corporation (MePGCL) has completed the detailed project reports (DPRs) for 12 small hydro power projects (63 MW) and approved two self-identified projects (37.5 MW), securing 12 per cent free power and one per cent LADF for the state, Power Minister Metbah Lyngdoh told the Assembly today.
Replying to a cut motion moved by Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit of the opposition Voice of the People Party (VPP), Lyngdoh said the implementation agreement has already been signed and State-owned Power Distribution Corporation Limited will sign a Power Purchase Agreement of 30 per cent of the installed capacity with the developer.
