Bengaluru, Sept. 22 -- With key provisions of India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) framework set to take effect in phases, 250 startup founders and 35 investors gathered here to discuss privacy, cybersecurity and digital trust as business-growth strategies rather than mere compliance requirements.
The Privacy by Design 2026: Winning in the Era of AI, Security & Digital Trust summit, organised by DPDP Zone, drew around 350 attendees at Radisson Blu Atria, Bengaluru.
The event was held eight weeks before provisions governing Consent Managers under the DPDP Rules are scheduled to take effect on November 13, 2026, while substantive provisions of the DPDP Act are scheduled from May 13, 2027.
