Kochi, July 8 -- DP World has strengthened its coastal shipping network in India with the acquisition of DP World Indus, an India-flagged container vessel with a carrying capacity of more than 2,500 TEUs.
The vessel will be deployed for domestic coastal trade, further enhancing the company's ability to provide efficient, reliable and sustainable cargo transportation between key Indian ports while supporting the Government's Maritime Vision 2030.
The acquisition marks a significant expansion of DP World's Shipping Solutions business, which now operates a dedicated fleet of 10 vessels connecting 14 ports across India.
