Ballia, April 26 -- A shocking incident of domestic violence was reported from Ballia district, where a man allegedly killed his wife and mother-in-law late Saturday night after being angered over his wife's refusal to return with him.
The incident took place in Bachhaipur village under the Nagar police station area, officials said on Sunday. The accused, identified as Amit Gond, reportedly attacked his wife Preeti (22) and her mother Sushila Devi (45) with a sharp weapon, killing them on the spot. He also injured his two-and-a-half-year-old son and father-in-law Antu Gond (50), both of whom are currently undergoing treatment in Varanasi.
