Hyderabad, Sept. 15 -- Telangana DGP C V Anand on Tuesday urged DSPs of the 1991, 1995 and 1996 batches not to allow court cases to delay their promotions and assured them of his efforts to resolve the issue.
As many as 37 DSPs from these batches are awaiting promotion as Additional SPs. The process has been pending due to cases filed by some officers. The DGP recently held a meeting with the officers and gave them a week to decide on withdrawing the cases.
Anand assured the officers that he would personally take up the matter with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, if necessary, and seek a permanent solution.
He said promotions could be granted immediately against the 37 existing Additional SP vacancies if all officers cooperated.
