Chennai, March 29 -- The ruling DMK unveiled its poll manifesto packed with a slew of promises, with the "Illatharasi" scheme' under which Rs 8,000 coupons would be given to non-tax paying women households to enable them to replace or purchase day-to-day usage household appliances like TV, fridge, mixie, washing machines or microwave ovens.

Releasing the manifesto to the media on Sunday evening, DMK President and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin also announced enhanced assistance under various existing flagship schemes, besides extending the CM's free breakfast scheme upto the students of Class 8 from Class 6.
