Puducherry, March 24 -- The DMK, which was allotted 14 of the total 30 seats by the Congress for the April 9 assembly election in the union Territory of Puducherry, on Tuesday announced its candidates for 13 seats, while allotting one to its ally, the dalit outfit VCK, which was dissatisfied and has decided to go it alone in the polls.

Though the DMK has officially announced its candidates only today, a day after the filing of nominations has ended, the DMK candidates has filed their papers after getting the nod of the party high command due to delay in inking the seat sharing deal with the Congress, which was subsequently signed on Monday.
