DMK, NTK candidates file nomiations, Left parties announce nominees for Madurantakam, Dharapuram bypoll seats

Chennai, Sept. 15 -- With just one day remaining for the filing of nominations, candidates of the principal Opposition DMK and Naam Tamizhar Katchi (NTK) of actor-director Seeman filed their papers on Tuesday for the October six bypolls to Madurantakam and Dharapuram Assembly seats, even as the Left parties too entered the fray despite,supporting government, and announced its candidates for the two seats.

Former MLA and DMK candidate I.Paranthaman, accompanied by senior party leaders, filed his papers before the Returning Officer for the Madurantakam seat. He was followed by NTK nominee K.Janakiraman who too filed their papers.

For the Dharapuram seat, DMK nominee Suganya and NTK candidate M.Karthika filed their papers.
