Bengaluru, Aug. 14 -- Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Friday crossed the political divide to acknowledge the development vision of former Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy, praising his planning for Bengaluru's Peripheral Ring Road and other major infrastructure projects.
Speaking in the Legislative Council, Shivakumar said political differences with Kumaraswamy could not obscure the merit of some of the projects conceived during his tenure.
"We may oppose Kumaraswamy politically, but his plans were very good," Shivakumar said, specifically describing the planning for the Peripheral Ring Road as "very good". He said the project could not be implemented during Kumaraswamy's tenure because of various hurdles and time constraints.
