Bengaluru, June 3 -- Karnataka witnessed a major political transition on Wednesday as DK Shivakumar was sworn in as Chief Minister at Lok Bhavan, marking a leadership change for the Congress government in the state.

Shivakumar, who also became the 25th Chief Minister of Karnataka, took oath along with a 13-member Council of Ministers.

The ceremony was held at the Glass House premises of Lok Bhavan with tight security arrangements. Around 3,500 invitees attended the event, with separate seating arrangements for dignitaries, religious leaders and special guests. Multiple LED screens were installed for public viewing of the proceedings.
