Shanghai, Oct. 6 -- Novak Djokovic overcame discomfort to pull off a comeback victory over German qualifier Yannick Hanfmann 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 today at the Shanghai Masters.
After the two hours and 45 minutes victory, his second-longest best-of-three-set match in 2025, Djokovic sets up a fourth-round meeting with Spain's Jaume Munar.
"It's brutal when you have over 80 percent of humidity day after day, particularly for the guys when they're playing during the day with heat, with sun, it's even more brutal," Djokovic said after the match.
Djokovic's next opponent, Munar, had earlier defeated Yoshihito Nishioka 6-4, 5-7, 6-1 to reach this stage of a hard-court ATP Masters 1000 event for the first time.
