Kolhapur, July 29 -- The District Congress party's women wing came out in strong protest against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP and Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, brandishing traditional Kolhapuri chappals and demanding cancellation of her Lok Sabha membership over her controversial remarks targeting Gen-Z and young female protesters.
In a press conference here, women Congress spokesperson and former corporator Bharti Pawar said that they brandished Kolhapuri 'Chappal' (footwear) as a warning, and announced plans to approach the courts to file criminal proceedings against Kangana Ranaut. They also demanded that her parliamentary seat be revoked for allegedly insulting women nationwide.
