Sambhajinagar, Feb. 2 -- Describing children's literature as the true foundation of all literary creation, District Collector Dilip Swami on Monday called upon writers to give special attention to writing for children, stating that literature plays a vital role in shaping human life and correcting social distortions.

He was speaking at the inauguration of the first district-level Children's Literature Conference held at Jain International School in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar.
