Bengaluru, July 12 -- Karnataka Transport Minister Byrathi Suresh got a first-hand taste of the daily hardships faced by thousands of Bengaluru commuters when he boarded BMTC buses disguised as an ordinary passenger, only to be told by a conductor to get off the bus because he did not have exact change.
The minister spent nearly two hours travelling in more than 10 BMTC buses on Saturday night without revealing his identity, hoping to experience public transport the way ordinary passengers do. What he witnessed was a glimpse into the frustrations that many commuters routinely endure.
