Pune, June 1 -- Internal unrest has surfaced within the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP-AP) over nomination for the Pune Legislative Council seat.

Parvati constituency president Ramdas Gade has resigned from his post, expressing strong dissatisfaction over the party's decision to nominate Vikram Kakade, son of former MP Sanjay Kakade.

Gade argued that loyal party leaders such as Deepak Mankar and Sunil Tingre should have been considered for the ticket instead of what he termed "outsider" candidates. He also questioned the party leadership over Sanjay Kakade's induction, alleging that he had previously played a role in breaking away NCP corporators.
