Patna, Aug. 30 -- Bihar Agriculture Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha on Sunday said the state government was introducing digital technology to make the fertiliser sales system more transparent and streamlined.

Sinha said here that the initiative was aimed at ensuring timely and easy access to quality fertilisers and seeds for farmers. Under the initiative, an online system has been developed through the 'Framework for Fertilizer Sales Application System' (FSAS) to make the purchase and sale of fertilisers more systematic and transparent.

He said fertiliser sales based on Farmer ID had initially been introduced as a pilot project in Vaishali and Sheikhpura districts. Following its successful implementation, the system has also been extended to J...
