Los Angeles, Nov. 3 -- More than four decades after the release of the classic "Ladies and Gentlemen, The Fabulous Stains", American actress Diane Lane says she feels "very vindicated" to have played a part in punk history through her role in 1982 .
The film, directed by Lou Adler, has long been regarded as a major influence on the riot grrrl (girl) movement (underground feminist punk movement) of the 1990s and Lane now feels a deep sense of pride and validation for being part of it.
In an interview with Deadline, the three-time Golden Globe nominee recently reflected on the filming of the movie as a teen.
