Srinagar, April 10 -- Kashmir's chief cleric and Hurriyat chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Friday said the world was looking towards Islamabad with hope for a breakthrough to avert further conflict, while urging sustained dialogue and justice-oriented engagement to secure lasting peace in the region.

Addressing the Friday congregation at the historic Jamia Masjid in Srinagar, Mirwaiz said that in war there are no real victors, as everyone suffers losses in lives, dignity, and humanity.
