Dharamshala, June 30 -- A fresh meeting to elect the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of the Dharamshala Municipal Corporation will be held on July 1 at 3 pm in the Cabinet Hall of the Mini Secretariat, Dharamshala.
Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Hemraj Bairwa said the meeting has been convened after the election to the two posts could not be conducted during the June 29 meeting due to the lack of the required quorum.
He said that while the newly elected councillors of the Municipal Corporation were administered the oath of office on June 29, the election process for the Mayor and Deputy Mayor remained incomplete owing to insufficient attendance.
