Jammu, Sept. 4 -- The Director General Border Roads, Lieutenant General Raghu Srinivasan, inspected the roads affected by the recent unprecedented rains in the union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
He visited two strategically important roads, Ramkot-Ranjit Sagar Dam and Basholi-Bani Road.
"Both these roads have suffered extensive damages," said a defence spokesperson, adding that the DGBR visited the Pedu Nala location, where 2 bridges were damaged due to heavy landslides.
The DGBR oversaw the construction of diversions being built to restore traffic and visited Bhoond at Km 47 on the Bani Basholi Road, where a significant portion of the road was washed away in the deluge, leaving a gap in the road.
