New Delhi, Aug. 27 -- Director General, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Praveer Ranjan, today paid a visit to the force's unit at the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), and reviewed the security preparedness, operational arrangements, training infrastructure, also the welfare measures of the force personnel deployed for security of the high capacity urban transport system.
Notably, CISF at DMRC is the force's largest unit, with more than 12,000 personnel deployed across the entire network. CISF personnel provide security to the extensive metro system comprising 10 operational Lines and 303 stations. The security force facilitates the secure movement of more than 70 lakh passengers on a daily basis.
