Ranchi, Nov. 5 -- The holy festival of Kartik Purnima was celebrated across Jharkhand today with deep faith and devotion, as thousands of devotees thronged river ghats from the early hours to take holy dips and offer prayers to Lord Vishnu, Surya Dev and Lord Shiva.
From Swarnarekha and Dhurwa Dam in Ranchi to the Damodar River in Bokaro, the Barakar River in Dhanbad, and the sacred Basukinath Dham in Dumka, devotees performed rituals, offered prayers, and sought blessings for peace and prosperity.
According to tradition, worshipping Lord Vishnu and Chandra Dev on Kartik Purnima is considered highly auspicious, bringing fulfillment of wishes and spiritual purification.
