Ranchi, Jan. 14 -- On the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, a huge influx of devotees was witnessed in Deoghar, Jharkhand's renowned religious city.
From the early hours of Wednesday morning, thousands of pilgrims thronged Baba Baidyanath Dham, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, reflecting an extraordinary blend of devotion, faith and tradition.
Despite the biting cold, devotees stood in long queues chanting slogans of "Bol Bam" and "Har Har Mahadev" to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva. Special religious rituals were organized at the temple to mark the festival.
