New Delhi, Nov. 17 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta today alleged that the previous government neglected the national capital's rural belt, stating that many areas part of the city's villages struggled with severe water-logging, broken roads and the absence of sewer lines, and proper drainage systems.

She remarked that previous governments did not take sufficient interest in understanding or addressing the problems faced by rural communities, but now the present regime has intensified efforts with initiatives to address these pending issues.

According to Gupta, her government has undertaken development after closely understanding the real issues of village areas, and working to provide permanent solutions to issues.
