Patna, May 9 -- Bihar's south-eastern districts of Jamui and Banka, once affected by Naxal activities and constrained by difficult hilly terrain, are witnessing rapid development following major improvements in rural road connectivity.
According to the Rural Works Department, the remote regions had remained cut off from the mainstream of development for decades due to the absence of all-weather roads. With the construction of an extensive network of paved roads, transportation has become easier, accelerating social, economic and administrative activities in the region.
