Gonda, Nov. 5 -- A detainee in the custody of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) died today after his health reportedly deteriorated while being brought to the RPF post at Gonda Junction, under the North Eastern Railway zone.
According to RPF Post Commander Anirudh Rai, the deceased has been identified as Sanjay Kumar Sonkar (33), a resident of Kinki village in Motiganj police station area of Gonda district. Sonkar had been detained by the RPF team in connection with a railway property theft case.
