Kolkata, Aug. 30 -- Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha MP Derek O'Brien has been summoned by the Shakespeare Sarani police in connection with the August 27 incident outside the party office on Camac Street.
Police visited O'Brien's residence on Prince Anwar Shah Road on Sunday and served him a notice directing him to appear at the Shakespeare Sarani police station at noon on Monday.
Police had visited the MP's residence on Saturday as well, but could not serve the notice as his security guard had reportedly been instructed not to accept any such communication.
On Sunday, the security guard accepted and signed the notice on O'Brien's instructions.
Sources in the police said that O'Brien was not at home when the police arrived on Sunday, and ...
